The Permitting Process

HOA Affidavit
The city requires a Homeowner's Association Affidavit of Awareness form with every permit submittal — regardless of whether your property is actually located in an HOA community.
Notice of Commencement
A recorded Notice of Commencement is required when the contract price is greater than $5,000.
Required Affidavits
You will need to submit a Roof-To-Wall Mitigation Affidavit to comply with the Florida Existing Building Code.
Approved Materials
Every roofing component must be HVHZ-approved. The permit application requires submitting the current Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance (NOA) or Florida Product Approval for the specific materials being used.
